Put on by the Home Building Association of Richmond, the 2016 Richmond Homearama features 9 designer furnished new homes in the Hallsley community of Chesterfield County. Priced between $950,000 to over $1 Million, these luxury homes were built and decorated to highlight the latest in trends, decorating ideas, and innovations.
Guests pay a $10 admission to tour the homes, check out numerous exhibits and enjoy a variety of special entertainment and events on select days. Proceeds benefit the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation in Richmond.
We had the privilege to work with builder, Rob Carter of Southern Traditions. His home, The Nantucket South, is a farmhouse style home featuring 4,800 finished square feet. Below are some images of our work, but stop by Homearama to see them in person!
This heart of pine ceiling was whitewashed to lighten the wood and then we accented the knots to create an antiqued look. This combined with the beams creates a rustic look.
We incorporated the nautical theme in this room by hand painting this mural of a compass rose on the ceiling. The use of three colors adds depth to the mural.
In the kitchen, we painted the ceiling and added rope and nail head detail to the coffers. This cording added texture, interest and definition
Our craftsman painted this ceiling to emulate faux metal to create a one of a kind look!
The ceiling in this bedroom is Venetian plaster, which creates a beautiful, faux marble finish.
